Liz is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.  She then received masters and law degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.

Liz previously clerked for the Honorable A.J. Zirpoli, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.  She actively participates in the S.C. Women Lawyers Association and Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA).

Liz is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of California, Texas, and South Carolina, the Fourth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
